Counseling Services for Parents/ Children/Teenagers

We offer a range of counselling services for both children and adolescents. These services can be delivered in a group or individual setting.

For children, we utilize play therapy and art therapy techniques to address their specific needs. Dialectical behavioural therapy is employed for adolescents.

  • Parental Support: Concurrently, we provide counselling support to parents. This support focuses on identifying practical strategies to help parents strengthen their relationships with their children.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration:To ensure holistic care for our young clients, we collaborate with other mental health professionals such as psychologists and psychiatrists.
  • Psychoeducation:We offer psychoeducation programs for both parents and children, covering a variety of mental health topics.
  • Goals:

Our primary goal is to empower children and adolescents to overcome challenges, build healthy relationships, and develop strong self-confidence, ultimately promoting their overall mental well-being.

  • Individual Counseling:

Individual counselling focuses on identifying elements that hinder a client's life and developing solutions to overcome those difficulties. Through the therapeutic process, individuals are empowered to identify obstacles and discover their own solutions, fostering self-resiliance.

Therapeutic Intervention-Individual Counseling

The therapist collaborates with the client to gain a deep understanding of the problems that negatively impact their quality of life.

Various aspects are assessed, such as      interpersonal relationships, mental health, professional development, and      individual growth.

Different methods are used, such as      questionnaires, tests, and discussions, to obtain a comprehensive picture      of the situation.

Understanding the Causes:

  • After identifying the difficulties, the      focus shifts to recognizing the underlying causes that provoke them.
  • Any traumatic experiences, dysfunctional      beliefs, negative behavioral patterns, or other factors affecting the      client are examined.
  • The therapist helps the client realize      how their past experiences shape their present.

Developing Solutions:

  • In collaboration with the client,      realistic and achievable goals are set to address the difficulties.
  • Various options and strategies are      explored to solve the problems.
  • The therapist encourages the client to      develop self-help skills and adopt healthy ways of coping with challenges.

Empowerment:

  • A primary goal of therapeutic      intervention is to empower the client.
  • The aim is to help the client develop      self-confidence, resilience, and autonomy.
  • The therapist encourages the client to      utilize their strengths and take control of their life.

Individualization:

  • Each therapeutic intervention is unique      and tailored to the individual needs and characteristics of the client.
  • Factors such as age, gender, cultural      background, personality, and values of the client are considered.
  • The therapist builds a relationship of      trust and mutual respect with the client, which is a cornerstone for      effective therapy.

Therapeutic intervention in individual      counseling is not simply providing advice.

  • It is a dynamic and holistic process that      considers the individual's entire psychological makeup.
  • Through the therapeutic relationship, the      client receives the necessary tools to overcome difficulties, improve      their quality of life, and achieve their mental well-being.

Couple/Family Therapy

Couples and family therapy is a specialized form of therapy that focus on addressing problems related to the relationship and communication of two      individuals.

  • The      main goal of couples counselling is to identify and modify dysfunctional      dynamics that negatively affect the relationship.
  • The      therapist works with the couple to deeply understand the difficulties they   face, considering the individual characteristics and needs of each member.
  • Through      interaction with the couple, the therapist identifies maladaptive elements      that affect communication, intimacy, conflict resolution, and overall      relationship satisfaction.

Processing and assuming responsibility:

  • Having      gained a comprehensive understanding of the problems, the therapist helps      the couple members process their feelings and reflect on the impact of      their actions on the relationship.
  • Through      exercises and dialogues, couple members are encouraged to recognize their      own responsibilities and adopt healthy communication and conflict      management methods.
  • The      therapist acts as a guide and mediator, creating a safe environment where      couple members can express themselves freely and listen to each other.

Achieving solutions:

  • As      couple members take responsibility for their actions and adopt new      communication skills, the relationship dynamics begin to change.
  • Gradually,      maladaptive elements are replaced by healthy ways of interacting, leading      to improved communication, intimacy, and overall relationship      satisfaction.
  • The      therapist's contribution is crucial in achieving solutions and enhancing      the mental well-being of both members.

Additional benefits:

  • In      addition to addressing problems, couples counseling can also offer other      benefits, such as:
    • Improved       communication and mutual understanding
    • Enhanced       intimacy and emotional connection
    • Development       of conflict resolution skills
    • Increased       satisfaction and happiness in the relationship

Couples and Family therapy is a valuable tool for addressing problems and strengthening relationships. Through a personalized and holistic approach, the therapist helps couple members improve communication, adopt healthy ways of interacting, and build a stronger and more fulfilling relationship.
